Kyra

Kyra is a Registered Nurse currently working on her MSN-FNP at Chamberlain University. Kyra graduated from Toronto University in 1995 and has been in practice for 28 years. Kyra’s experience is extensive and includes all areas of the perioperative area. Kyra worked in Mississippi, Tennessee, and California before moving to Nevada 2 years ago with her husband, 92-year-old mother-in-law, and four dogs. Twenty years of Kyra’s experience has been with the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, CA, caring for oncology and hematology patients.
After 22 years in the acute care setting, Kyra pursued aesthetic nursing. She obtained her AAFE and Lumenis certification with West Dermatology in Newport Beach, CA, with Dr. Gilbert and his wife. Kyra quickly became proficient and recognizable for her patient care and education. She was promoted to laser trainer with West Dermatology before transitioning to a full-time position with Dr. Jay Calvert’s plastic surgery and medspa practice. “I believe my success in aesthetics resides with the years of bedside nursing during and after my education caring for HIV+ patients, chronic illness, and cancer patients. I recognized the stages of grief patients would pass through during times of health crises and mastered my listening skills to provide the best patient-centered care I could.”
Transitioning to aesthetics was seamless due to Kyra’s professional experience. Kyra has branded herself as an aesthetic provider under PokerFace aesthetics in Las Vegas. Kyra’s skills include neurotoxins, HA fillers, biostimulants, advanced laser treatments, and all age and health management. Her passions include cooking, wine-making, athletic training, and movie night with her family. “I always seem to light up a room with my belly laugh.”
